Above is a typical engine installation using Firetrace located within a performance marine speed boat engine compartment.
Why is Firetrace so effective?
Because the detection tubing is installed within the protected equipment enclosure, it can detect and extinguish a fire in its earliest stages and as it employs no sensitive electronic detection devices, it is completly unaffected by humidity, dirt or turbulent airflow.
Pressurised Firetrace tube is routed both over and around the protected area (avoiding surfaces above 80c ambient).
When a fire occurs the tube will soften and burst at its hottest point allowing swift and accurate delivery of the extinguishant direct to the source of the fire and simultaneously trigger alarms or shutdown relays (if fitted).
Firetrace can be supplied with a number of fire fighting mediums tailored to your specific risk or requirement.
Various canister sizes are available and are supplied pre-charged and fitted with the appropriate length of Firetrace tubing.
